At Little Pearls Dentistry for Children, we believe that dental health is fundamental to overall health and that by starting good habits early, children will grow up to value dental health and will pass that along to their own children.
In order to achieve health and well-being for each child we see, our pediatric dental specialists, Dr. Michael Gazori, Dr. Sumana Kafle, and Dr. Tatiana Staver, will determine the factors that may put each child at risk for dental disease and then develop an individualized plan of prevention and to restore and maintain optimal health.
The Little Pearls Difference
We believe in education and the prevention of dental disease. We work to make each experience with every child special.
We spend the time to ensure the comfort of our patients and to make sure the parents of our patients are involved and as excited about their children's dental health as we are.
We are committed to providing a warm and trusting environment, recognizing the unique dental health and emotional needs of each child.
We invite you see why so many families in the Lansdowne, Leesburg, and Ashburn, VA communities have chosen Little Pearls Dentistry for Children as their children’s dentist. Contact our Lansdowne dental office to schedule an appointment with us today!
It is a great honor to be entrusted by the parents of our patients to care for their children. The warm, trusting relationships I build with my patients and their parents bring such joy to my life.
Dentistry has given me the opportunity to help people from a purely medical perspective. More importantly, however, it has given me the opportunity to care for the emotional needs of my patients. I have never believed that dental treatment is inherently painful or that it is an uncomfortable ordeal that must be endured. We make dentistry as comfortable as possible by making it fun, and by teaching patients the value of good dental health. Hopefully our patients will grow up to not only have good dental health themselves, but also to pass down the value of good dental health to their own children.
My team and I embrace the concept of treating the children as individuals, with the same care and respect we would give our own children. It is remarkable to me that members of our team come from such different backgrounds, culturally, geographically, and educationally and yet we all work together so well for the common goal of caring for our patients. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to work with such a great team.
Education and Continuing Education
I attended the University of Washington in Seattle for my Doctorate of Dental Surgery and was a general dentist for 14 years. I returned to school at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC after realizing that I needed further training to concentrate on my true interest, the care of children.
I am intrigued with new research and work being done in the prevention and treatment of dental disease especially with the use of naturopathic therapies. I feel the role of a dentist should extend well beyond the current clinical model and should incorporate the most current concepts in prevention restoration, and maintenance.
Business management and leadership courses have also given me the tools to teach and pass along my treatment philosophy and standard of care to the rest of the team. It is important to me for my entire team to embrace and implement the values and philosophies I hold dear in the care of our patients.

Outside the Office
I grew up in Eastern Washington State where the summers were hot and the winters long and cold. I moved to Northern Virginia in 2003 following my graduation with my pediatric specialty, and have enjoyed building my life here with my wife and our two children. I am most passionate about being a good dad to my kids and a good husband to my wife. I love maximizing our time together as I know time goes quickly.
When I’m not in the office, I spend time with my family, traveling with them and just doing the day-to-day activities like riding bikes together and going to parks. I also enjoy include playing tennis, scuba diving, running, hiking, photography, and following Seattle sports teams!
